Take Xeodrifter for example, a bland, generic and short Metroid knock-off and it still has 80% on metacritic. It's much cheaper and better to just buy a Metroid game on the Wii U VC.

Xeodrifter is a 75 on Metacritic...Axiom Verge would have been a better example, which is also very Metroid-esque. But Axiom Verge is actually really good.
