Fire effects? I've never managed to set my car on fire, not for lack of trying. It is amazing what they can do with 250 polygons per car! ;)
I would love to see a flight sim game with that engine. The fly overs at the start of some of the tracks look amazing. It's strength is indeed that lighting and water effects which practically come free with the material based render engine. Tombraider with this engine could be awesome. (An actual tomb raiding game that is)
Driveclub vs KZ sf
Both look much better in motion though. The lighting is great in both, I love the night racing and dark sections in KZ SF yet KZ SF looks a bit better in full daylight. Rain looks much better in DC.
One thing I hope to see improved on is the MADDER sound system from KZ SF. It added a lot to the immersion to hear sounds change based on where you are in what type of environment.
