Wouldn't make a difference. Just about anything can be used to kill a person. It's easier to track down a killer who used a gun. He could of used something worse.

It's a lot harder to stick a knife in someone or any other hands on method, especially when other people are around. Doing fatal damage is a lot easier with a gun too. It's hard to seperate cause and effect ofcourse. Is the murder rate in the USA higher because of easy to get guns, or are guns so popular because of the higher murder rate.

The murder rate is high because people want to kill people. It's a simple truth.
Someone can steal a car and just run their intended victim over a few times then drive off. If someone knows what they are doing, they can kill someone more easily with knife than a gun. People are more likely to surivive a gun shot than die from it. It really depends on shot placement than the fact that they were hit with a bullet.
Governments for ages have tried to disarm their citizens over and over again. It doesn't work. If someone really wants to kill, they'll use whatever they can. The true problem is the people that are doing the killing, not the weapons.

Except any kind of statistic contradicts you on this subject. You do realize you just said that Americans are more murderous than Europeans, right?
In the US police officers have killed more people on duty in the last 3 months than the British police in the last 24 years. No wonder there's so much fear in the USA when just about everyone can get guns.
