Oh right... God of War III is only 11 less than the original release. Yet Gears is still a point higher.

Anyhow, here's another person that gives too much validity to meta scores.

The God of War III remake was just a straight forward remake with an added Photo Mode and 1080p/60fps.

meanwhile, the Gears of War "Ultimate Edition" included new campaigns, comic books, Gears of War 4 Beta, etc.

it was expected to fare better, but instead dropped 12 points from the original Metascore.

Like i said, Microsoft should keep a closer look at Sony remakes seeing how they fare better with the media.

Isn't it pretty simple? They just release newer games. What is the oldest game to be remastered on PS4? Flower?

Also, can you link to proof that the general consensus is Gears Ultimate would "fare better" than the original, which got a 94? Because I am going to call BS on your entire post, but specifically that part.

This thread shows it was expected to sell between 1 and 1.2 million units.
This thread shows the highest predicted metascore at 89. An 89 is not better than a 94.
And lastly, this thread, which is dedicated solely to predicting metascores, has Gears Ultimate averaging an 84? An 84 is also not higher than a 94.

But hey you're making the claim, maybe you're privy to information escaping me at the moment. Not saying you're wrong, but as Whitney said, I wanna see the receipts.
