This demographic is the most obsessed with both "Mature" content (Drugs, Sex, Violence, Crime and Profanity) as well as meaningless techical performance (computer hardware, sports cars, etc.). While Nintendo has (essentially) abandoned these gamers in favour of the general market, Sony and Microsoft have abandoned the general market in order to attract these gamers. The original poster fits right into this demographic, and it is not surprising that he doesn't like Nintendo anymore. I expect that he will age, go to college, get a job and a steady girlfriend and his perception of Nintendo will (likely) change when he is in his early to mid 20s. |
This is the sillyest thing I've read in a while. You are categorizing all gamers that prefer ps360 as immature late teen early 20's gamers.
Thats like me saying that all Wii's are purchased by the late 30's/early 40's people and used to entertain guests as its good social fun. And by 9 to 12 year old kids who like teletubby's and saying the words "Wii".
Also about your technical performance analogy...if one can afford a powerful sports car, there is no reason why they'd drive anything else. Most people settle for a ford focus not cause they want to... i'm not saying that Wii is only bought by people who can't afford ps360 but I don't think there is such thing as meanigless technical performance. Otherwise we'd all be stuck in a sea of mediocrity. If you can't see what techncial performance brings to gaming with games like GTA4...then I don't know what else I can say.
