Yes, there as I said before, the certainly is cases were games have their actual score affected.
(Sure wasn't the case with The Order though, even as SM said that, it was because they felt more backslash than they thought it deserved, but that was after the scores came, and we saw the results).

But I don't like when actual good games get this treatment from people because they are from big and/or famous franchises.
While there is times it may happen, this sure doesn't seem like one of those in any way.

MGS 5 seems to be more than delivering.

I will only be able to give you an honest answer when I played the game myself.

MGS1 is one of my favorite games of all time, but I hated MGS4 despite every critic praising it. If I want to watch a convoluted TV show I'll watch a good one instead (I Claudius, watch it now!). Just my opinion though, if you liked MGS4 that's just fine.

I hated MG4 too but this one relies heavily on the gameplay for what I´ve seen and read, and tells the story more with actions than with words, wich is esential for me in order to get it.  Even if this game is overrated (i don´t know) it looks like a real good game anyways (doesn´t really matter if deserves or not its score), this doesn´t look like a GTAIV scenario where a mediocre game had like 15 points more than deserved.
