All I can say about this game and how it was reviewed is that, in the future, we should definitely trust previews as indicators of how the game will be reviewed.
Ever indicator up to the release of The Order: 1886 indicated that the game would not release well. Almost every preview of Until Dawn indicated that the game was flawed, but still creative and enjoyable.
