business is like this: if you are selling well, you are doing it right, and keep it that way till things go wrong.

The mistake you are making is this - the other companies are following Nintendo's lead, not the other way around. Nintendo will continue to make the games it wants to make, and that will be a wide variety. Nintendo showed with WiiSports that minigames can sell on the Wii, so others made minigame compilations. Surely the success of Mario Galaxy will also bring imitators. But note that with stuff like WiiFit (which you likely have little interest in) and Disaster:Day of Crisis (which you might), Nintendo is continuing to experiment - something it can do because it's established franchises give them the profit to do so.
