I think what he means is that games like Halo, Uncharted, Gears of War, Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros, Forza, Gran Turismo, Pokemon, Mario, GTA, God of War, Fallout, The Elder Scrolls, Bioshock, The Last of Us are all average. 

That seems to be the case.  I guess he was actually expressing his dislike for Playstation, Nintendo, and Xbox.  Such a hipster.
