| Zekkyou said: Ignoring that PSNow has been the source of plenty of similar debates, i think the drama is more focused on how titles like QB, Halo, Ryse, Fable, SB, etc are present gen exclusives, rather than titles that would otherwise (outside of remasters/remakes) be locked to a generation/platform that is quickly losing relevance. OT: I don't think statements like "It’s not to say those games could never come to Windows" really mean much. It's about the same as saying "We have no plans to do [x], but i don't want to be accused of lying if we ever, for whatever reason, change our minds". |
Right. I agree on the bolded. Plans change all the time, but speculating that every XBO exclusive will eventually end up on PC is a fools errand, since there's about as many examples to the contrary, it's not worth the discussion until its announced or at least rumored.
On the otherhand, you really never see this sentiment with PSNow, which is odd, because it has a lot of main entries (not spin-offs or digital only titles), the spec buy-in is lower (anything netflix ready) and ...well Sony didn't buy Gakai to stop at PS3 games and then nothing else for the rest of eternity. PS4 games will come eventually, there's no question of that. Only how long it will be until they show up.
