He was 20, and yes, it was a matter of life, with a simple transfusion he could have live normally. And he was in a state in which he couldn't decide, so their parents take this decision on his behalf. Awful, but true. He wasn't even a Jehova's witness...

On the religion topic, Catholicism is not, precisely, free of charge in its history. Homophobia, paedophilia, murder, holy wars, refusal to the condomm use, which could prevent the STIs... etc. etc. I'm not talking about all the catholic people, I've met a lot of people who are catholics and are excellent people. But the Catholic institution is/was rotten. They have a lot of questions to answer...
