I suppose it is - even though they promised us 2 tablet controllers running on 1 Wii U console for local multiplayer and never delivered.
PS4 and XBone are basically the same as their predecessors but with more power, and they were the same as the PS2 and Xbox but with more power.
Whether you like what they produce or not nobody can deny that Nintendo are prepared to take risks and not follow the competition - this is what makes them so important for the industry. However, I would like to see them take those risks with the actual software they produce and stop relying too much on old IP.
