“The father was a tall and strong man. He told them that he prefers his daughter being dead than being touched by a strange man.”

How hard could it be for a "tall and strong man" to at least try to save his daughter himself if he didn't want her to be touched by a "strange man".

I vehemently disagree with that man's sense of "honor", but I won't subscribe to a "he wanted her to die" theory without further evidence, I think he simply couldn't swim (and hindered the people who were able and willing to help her .. so fucked up *sigh*)

I don't think that he wanted her to die and his sense of honor and morale is totally fucked up to me even though I guess it is the norm in his culture, but my point is that you don't just let a beloved person die like that, even though the guy didn't know how to swim I would expect a loving father to be willing to sacrifice himself to save his daughter, hasn't anybody here played Heavy Rain? : P . Maybe my morale is fucked up too, but to me he's just a coward and stupid because in the end whoever that recovered the body had to touch it anyway.
