Just because most Nintendo fans don't share your overly negative views doesn't mean that they believe everything Nintendo says. More importantly though, you aren't the first Nintendo fan who is considering to get a PlayStation. A prominent example is padib a.k.a. happydolphin who drew a lot of illwill from Nintendo fans in 2012 and ultimately announced that he is done with Nintendo and will move on to greener pastures. Nowadays you know him as a guy who supports Nintendo again and that's because he didn't really find the special kind of games he wanted on another console either. The conventional wisdom is that non-Nintendo systems have a steady flow of great software because they have much more third party support, but once you start to cut down the release lists to your personal preferences, you'll soon realize that there aren't more than a few worthy retail games per year either. And if indie games were sufficient as a fix, then you would already play them on a Nintendo system.

My negative comments are mostly in response to Nintendo fans that blindly believes everything they tell us.
