In the very same way not everyone can play street fighter at the level required to play it competitively. I watch soccer because I am supporting a team. I watch basketball cause I'm supporting a team then later in the day I go to my local court and play with my friends. I watch evo cause I want to see the best of the best play fighting games then later I jump in and game with my friends. I would even watch some game videos because I'm trying to see where to find that item. That's very different from sitting down and watching someone else play an entire game or chunks of it as your primary way if experiencing that game. If you can't see the difference then I'm sorry and I guess you fall under those people I don't quite understand. |
I was not trying to make you silly but a lot of people who are popular on Twitch are people who have skills in games. I am pretty sure you will find evo players who are on Twitch aswell and a lot of them play against people in the chat and it is fun. I can tell my story, I followed a guy from Schotland who is into playing games with the Rift, I enjoyed my experience and want to check out the rift games he played. In no time I was playing games with him. We created an gaming community called spider gaming and thanks to his stream I met people from the chat/Spidergaming and we even had barbecues together. The last year I probably spend hundreds of hours with them in games as minecraft/Team Fortress 2/Elite Dangerous/Euro Truck/Ark survival what is so strange to understand that people like it? I really don't find it strange that on evenings where I don't feel like gaming I just am active in their chat and talk with the people I know and meet up.
