Kaz Yamauchi outright stated that GT7 would release sometime before 2017, so it could come anytime next year:

It depends on when it's releasing, but if GT6 is anything to go by if it's announced this year, then it'll be out by July, if Sony plans for it to come out in November or December then we won't be seeing anything about it until at least a few months into next year.
