Windows10 is no "resource hog", it should run better on an older PC (or slower PCs like netbooks and tablets) than Windows 8/8.1 which already performed better than Windows7 and Vista on these slower machines. The installation size of Windows 10 has again been optimized.

After the upgrade of my BayTrail-tablet (2GB RAM) from W8.1 to Win10 the new GUI feels snappy and well thought-out, but the overall performance is probably the same. The installation size is slimmer, so the additional 4 GB flash memory available for programs / data are welcome.

 

Thanks! I'm having some trouble with my computer and wanted to format it, I think I'll upgrade it with W10 then.
