Do nice guys finish last?

Recently, I've watched a lot of Youtube videos about nice guys finishing (and not finishing) last for some reason. What are your thoughts?

My take is that people who say that nice guys finish list are usually people who think they're nice guys but really aren't and it is obvious to everyone around them.
