I'm sorry to announce that my fav console has shifted from PS2 to PS3

Interesting. I am the exact opposite. PS2 was the best, up there with the SNES in terms of high-quality games that are still a blast to play. 

PS3 was the biggest disappointment of gaming for me. It was just so lacking in the games department, mainly exclusive-wise. There were some good ones, like Demon's Souls, 3D Dot Game Heroes, TLOU, Puppeteer, umm probably some others; whereas the PS2 had all of the Shin Megami Tensei Games, Ico, Shadow of the Colossus, Okami, Wild Arms, Suikoden, Jak, Xenosaga, FF12, Dark Cloud 1+2, Dragon Quest, Timesplitters 1-3 (!!), Mister Mosquito, Klonoa 2, Odin Sphere, Killer7, XIII, Rez, GodHand

I cannot continue because I am becoming more and more depressed with each listed game. Damn
