Not only is that an obvious issue in a story driven game but it's not like the guy's only complaining about how the story's presented. He starts off the articles pointing out issues he has with gameplay as well. Sounds like he's not having with or without the controller in hand. Not a good preview at all. 

I am one of the people who wasn't really impressed by the stage demo. To me it just came off as a little dull and unorigional, but I know that my opinion was in the minority. But after reading this preview (though the author did like the stage demo) it seems I wasn't the only one who had these issues with what we've seen so far.
