Persona 3 is a JRPG with dating simulation elements (think of Sims). During the days, you attend school, make friends, go on dates, go out to places, attend meetings, join clubs, etc. Making friends helps you make your Persona stronger (think summons). Also you can build up your courage, academics by studying, and charm. And at one certain time during the day, you can battle. The battles are turn based battles, and they aren't random battles. You can see the enemy, but it's your choice if you want to fight or not. You control only one person in battle, while the computer controls the rest of your allies, but you can change that if you want. Personas are kinda like summons; you can have many of them, depending on your level. They each have different skills, weaknesses and strength. The storyline is interesting. It goes by a day-to-day calendar. I don't want to spoil part of the story, but there is a certain time during each month that you have to train for.
