midrange said: Yes, I am disappointed. 1) I bought a wii u thinking that it would at least have smash bros and mario kart 8. Smash bros does a great job in balancing the competitive side and the casual side while adding plenty of content. Mario kart 8 however feels like a downgrade (not only does the gameplay feel the same as the wii version, but the local multiplayer has gotten worse) 2) I bought the wii u under the impression that it would have decent third party. In 2012 this launch plan included zombiu, Rayman legends, lego city undercover, and wonderful 101. That's 4 third party exclusives!!! Not only that, but crysis 3, arkham origins, injustice, dying light and aliens were all in the works to make full use of the wii u along with the definitive edition ports of nfs, deus ex and darksiders. Now the Wii u only has a small dlc for skylanders as its exclusive third party offering ... Pathetic. 3) if I don't like a new release (splatoon, mario party 10, etc.) It's really sad that I have to wait months before another game (that I may not like) releases. Just like Nintendo's recent e3, I had very low standards for Nintendo this gen, and even then they managed to disappoint me |
Your fault for buying a Nintendo console for third party support lol. And again your fault for having bad taste (liking Mario Kart Wii and not liking Splatoon).
Nintendo is actually doing a better job this gen compared to last gen for me. How I loath Wii Sports, Wii Fit, Wii Music, Wii Party, Skyward Sword, Metroid: Other M, etc.
The Wii only had 3 amazing exclusive games for me (Metroid Prime 3, SMG 1 &2). TP was amazing as well, but also on GC.
I'll be buying Xenoblade Chronicles tomorrow, so I'll let you know how I like that one. And I'll play it on the amazing gamepad, so the graphics won't look absolutely disgusting. :)
