To be perfectly fair, Bethesda has never, in all truth, really been that amazing of a developer. They are great at building massive worlds with a lot to do in them. They're just not that great at making games NOT super-buggy, or in doing some of the fundamental things that make the classics.....well, great.

I enjoyed Skyrim, to a large extent, because of the huge world, and lots of things to do. But it also frustrated me many times, not just because of the glitches and often game-breaking, mission-failing bugs, but just in general shortcomings the gameplay itself has, or simple, logical things that they didn't allow the player to do in the game world, etc. I am hoping that Elder Scrolls 6, if we ever see one, will take a step up from where 5 left off, and TRY their best to present a less buggy game, and focus more this time on not just a "lush" game world, but also just giving you a lot more tangible, sensible things to do within it.
