My Co-Workers wife bought a Wii and over the weekend they played Wiisports as a family, I warned him about the boxing from before.
He came back talking about how he wasn't going to let his wife beat him and how tired his arms were.
So I guess I must not be alone, I hate how complex you appear to make yourself. I mean come on, that arguement is saying that every game before HD wasn't immersive, hell I don't even know by what definition your viewing immersive under, like wtf how can immersion be accomplished through visuals alone, the stills are retarded because even tetris was immersive I know for a friggin fact pac man was and is immersive.
This entire debate is moot because what were debating is simply 1 of the many tools within the structure of an "or" arguement that can be coined with immursive qualities.
You've heard people talk about games and ports where they just slap waggle on, well clearly those games aren't immersive, hell Mario Party 8 was immersive so is Wii sports and Wii play.
Look at Street Fighter 2 Turbo or Marvel vs Capcom 2, those are very immersive titles that have little to do with graphical amazment, it's competition either and especially with another player or against the computer. The urge to win forces you into the game.
If you can't appreciate that then I don't know what to tell you, just leave to arguement alone is my best statement if this is true.
