If Destiny as a franchise hangs around long enough for there to be a Destiny 4, then yes it could be that one of the main Destiny releases sells more units than the biggest selling CoD. But it sounds to me like the vision for Destiny isn't traditional sequels but progressively expanded content for the original game. If a major Taken King-like expansion for 2016 packs in with the original game, and download tokens for all the previous major expansions, at a cost of $50 and this becomes the annual pattern then it will be difficult to really make a comparison, because the only people who will by a trackable product will be Destiny noobs. People already into Destiny will just by the expansion, because they have all the past content they want.
