I absolutely don't mind digital. I practically never replay old games so it doesn't matter if they still work later down the road. I also don't resell so digital is a good way to conserve living room space.
Not "supporting" digital sounds a bit mean against smaller devs who simply can't or don't want to afford physical mediums.
If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.
