I think 50 bucks. Yes it sells well at 399, however the potential sales by dropping the price and increased revenue from a faster growing usersbase should outstrip the lost 50 per piece of hardware.
I think Sony just wants to make sure they are not losing money on hardware (which is why I doubt a 100 dollar drop).
