Toss-up between the PS4 and XBO controllers. The DualShock 4 is definitely the most improved controller this generation. Sony did a remarkable job improving on the ergonomics and general design after not really changing much in the previous two generations. The XBO gamepad is a fine controller as well, and I prefer asymmetrical sticks. However, the shoulder buttons are too stiff and the controller is really noisy, and generally it feels like a slight step down from the 360 gamepad.

If Sony made a version of the DS4 that swapped the positions of the D-pad and left stick, it would be the perfect controller.

As for Nintendo, the Wii U's controllers are perfectly serviceable with good comfort and ergonomics, but who thought it would be a good idea to put the right stick above the face buttons? Nobody has ever really done that before, and it makes certain games tough to play.

The game pad is the same, thats why:

Its to ease the transition going from useing one, to the other.

Maybe its just how Nintendo thinks a controller should be?

*edit : I prefer the Dual Shock 4, imo the best of the 3.
