It really was a step forward for the series art wise. Shame about the uninvolving plot and gameplay.

I felt that what were FFX's strengths were FFXII's weaknesses and vice versa. FFX had a very good plot and main characters, but the voice acting was generally meh. FFXII had really good voice acting, but the plot was underwhelming and the main characters were a bit weak. I was never sure who was the main protagonist.
