Longterm I think it could easily work out in their favour if sales keep up. Without PS+ this thread wouldn't exist for example, the word of mouth and hype generated from it will likely be longterm ( I hope)

definitly, but the amount of money they have made if it wasnt PS plus is probably ten fold. I dont think the dev would ever go back on there chose, i'd say they would rather have more people playing the game then the money but their are definitly some studio business heads kicking themselves. 

We dont know how much Sony pays devs for putting there games on PS plus but after seeing the how well rocket league has done it must be by milestone
