Also, I didn't say people outright hated it or refused to complete it or anything, I said that it seems people didn't think it was good when compared to its predecessors. Ask Final Fantasy fans which FF game is their favourite and how many will answer with 13? Sure, there will be a few like I said, but it will be much smaller than pretty much every entry in the franchise since it became popular around #6/7. |
We can apply that same logic to GTA IV or Red Dead Redemption ...
We have tons of Rockstar fans from games like GTA III and San Andreas but we would expect the majority of them to buy and complete the aforementioned games yet both feature a completion rate of less than 30% when last reported so what happened there ?
We can apply that same question to FFIX or FFXII. Pretty much every FF except for VII, VIII, and X gets sidelined ...
