I do like the combination of free and paid DLC implemented in this update. Of course we're waiting on being able to join ranked 3v3 matches with your own team, but Psyonix is working on it and it will be added as soon as possible. I do not see the paid DLC worth $3.99, but I may get it after I see what they roll out next to gauge if it is worth the money.
I've never paid for cosmetics, even for F2P games. However, I love this game so much and appreciate the developers that I would be inclined to spend some money for a game I downloaded via PS+
