And I could list more. Remakes or not, they still sell well. And I mean, the DQV DS game was a remake of a game that had just been remade for the PS2 some years before, and that still sold over a million in Japan.

It absolutely does matter. 

The games you listed are remakes of the mainline games. Those are likely to sell over a million in Japan 99% of the time (the only one that didn't was DQIII on the GB, but that got a remake on the SNES prior). The Monster series is a spinoff, and no one should expect remakes of spinoffs to sell that well. The fact that Terry's Wonderland 3D even came close to 1m is quite good, really, especially since it was limited to one platform.

Edit: And I'm not trying to undermine DQH's sales, because they're extremely good. I just don't see why DQ Monster remake sales have to be brought up to prove that.
