Considering it's mandatory that one exit their vehicle when ordered to do so during a traffic stop, I imagine necessary force can be exercised.

I'm not a lawyer though so I could very well be wrong.

Your right but what one  CAN do and what one SHOULD do are two different things. For instance it's legal for the cops to take 10,000 dollars from me if they pull me over. I then have to go to court and prove I earned this money legitmately. The cops have the right to do this but should they be doing this? My answer is no it's only further destroying the trust between the cops and the community (something many cops have said the drug war did as well).

There were numerous laws against blacks that later had to be over turned. My point is that simply having the legal right to do something does not make it morally right.

I'm sorry but where are you getting this from? Based on what I've read, police can't search your car nor search your person during a traffic stop. They can pat you down in search of weapons but they can't stick a hand into your pocket.

btw, what are you doing carrying 10,000 dollars in cash?

Ah yes but once again your forgettig the many ways cops have of breaking their own rules. For instance one trick I've seen used constantly is "I smell weed". That's it now they have the right to search my vehicle. How am I going to prove that they didn't smell weed? You can't prove something like that and in court a cops word is going to be taken over mine. Another trick bring the dog. First they have the dog go around your car to really check it. If nothing comes up then they start using their hands to direct the dog on places to sniff and casuing the dog to react this is a classic trick that use to search your car.

Do I carrry around 10,000 with me? Hell no. I've seen far to many horror stories of people having their money confiscated though that they saved up for years. Just google forfeiture laws. It's insane what the cops are doing to people. Some states have already started making it illegal now. It's causing way to many issues and cops like all people are already abusing it.
