Six were Nintendo exclusives, but the last one was in 1994...? That's my point. If the Wii U was as powerful as the PS4 and One, we'd probably see FFXV there. But I doubt the costs of porting the game to the NX (assuming it can handle it) would be worth it.

Thats asuming the NX has a different architecture to the PS4 and One? Because every rumor seems to points out to an all AMD architecture.

But yep, the last Nintendo exclusive numbered Final Fantasy came out around 21 years ago which is ancient. If your point is that the time that has passed makes it irrellevant know that the last offline main entry Final Fantasy was XIII 5 years ago which is still a long time. XII was 9 years ago and X was 14 years ago. My point being that the recent history of Final Fantasy isn't really that recent. But all that is irrellevant because having a history (even if ancient) with Nintendo is more that can be said about the PS1 and 360 yet they still got VII and XIII respectively with no prior FF history. Square had to test the waters with those 2 entries. In other words, history is not as important. Money and marketshare triumph. They just have to retest the waters with a Nintendo console. Until they do that, no one knows how is going to perform.

I think is going to do great because afaik the Zelda fanbase seems to like Final Fantasy too and Bravely Default is very popular among Nintendo fans. Also, many Zeldo fans seem interested in a more realistic, mature, open world take on Zelda which FFXV might deliver.
