I was thinking about the recent announcement of DQ11 and the fact SE have mention it could be coming to the NX. How soon could the NX release though? It seems odd that SE have said that both the 3DS and the PS4 versions are targeted for a 2016 release, so why not assume the NX will come out in 2016 too? But wouldn't that be too soon? Wouldn't a lot of people who bought the WiiU feel a little 'used'? How could Nintendo possibly avoid that? I would say that there is a possibility the NX is being designed to exist 'alongside' the WiiU but how would Nintendo be able to do that? The solution could be quite surprising. Here is my possible solution:

The NX is an add on for the WiiU. It replaces the controller and has its own built in chipset. It also has updated connectivity with the WiiU to give it PS4/Vita capabilities. Everything made for the 3DS is playable on the NX and everything made for the WiiU is (obviously) playable on the NX.

So: An updated, larger 3DS and a updated controller for the WiiU that allows long distant streaming of WiiU games and plays 3DS games natively.

The PS5 Exists.
