This controller had loads of innovations. It was the first controller to have built in rumble, 2 analog sticks, and depressible analog sticks. Playstation's controller was also the first to have elongated handles and quad-shoulder buttons. It was great innovation, and it doesn't change in a major way because it is perfect (or very close).
And some punkass mentioned placing the left analog stick where the d-pad is and the d-pad where the analog stick is. Psh. I don't think so, that d-pad is the best for fignting games. Or maybe the Genesis controller?
