It's obvious at this point that Konami can't or doesn't want to deal with Kojima's level of investments. That might have worked like charm during PS1/PS2 eras, but everyone knows development prices have skyrocketed. This split is good for Kojima if he wants to keep his artistic freedom. Sony fans obviously want him to go with Sony, but their financials woes will hold him back. I think there's only one company with deep enough pockets to truly fulfill Kojima's visions: Microsoft.

Ok, I accept that the only reason I want to see Kojisoft is for the massive fanboy meltdown. It would be glorious. >:)

Sony's financial woes would prevent them from working with Kojima on a project? Dafuq?

I could totally see Sony letting him run one of their projects. The guy likes to get paid, yes. of course. But it seems having creative freedom is what gives him his jollies.

MS is everything ANTI creative freedom (Ask Rare how much they have enjoyed their creative freedom the past 15 years). Do you really think MS would have green lit some of the games Sony has put out through Media Molecule, ND, and others. NO they would have doubled down on PD and we would have a Gran Tourismo every year. (Rotating GT and GT Horizon of course), Uncharted would be an FPS. The Last of Us would be a dead Island clone.

I am half joking. But seriously the comment about Sony not being able to afford one guy is too funny.
