So true. I can't believe people are coming here and saying "Ha! It's 1 year not 6 months, IN YOUR FACE!" well not those exact words, but that's the save they're trying to make after hoping and dreaming that it would be a premanent console exclusive. What's interesting in this is that we even had some people who are pretty neutral come down in favour of the most likely scenario being permanent console exclusive. People really were fooled by the spin. And it was spin, if there ever has been spin in this industry, this is definitely it. Or maybe people allowed themselves to be fooled by the spin because they so very much wanted the spin not to be spin and for it to be true.
I don't think I've ever witnessed people so determined that a game must be console exclusive based on information almost from the day it was announced as Xbox exclusive in 2015 that has clearly always strongly implied the exact opposite. Sure there are other examples of arguments about exclusivity, most notably MGS4, but the available information supported the conjecture that the game would probably always be exclusive, so at least when PS3 folks argued strongly that MGS4 would not come to 360, they had information that strongly supported their case. This situation never backed up the desire by some people that PS4 gamers should forever be denied Tomb Raider.
