I don't dislike anime, but I greatly prefer feature films to series. The only series I successfully watched and loved was Gantz. I don't know why. It just had a certain flavor of weird that caught my interest.
I feel western animation can be just as mature as easten animation. They just do it more subtly. They combine a flavor appropriate for children with mature themes fo an older crowd. I would put Pixar up against any anime studio on Earth.
