Nintendo/SE haven't bothered to bring a Dragon Quest game to the west since 2010 but SE releases one DQ game on PS and it promptly releases in the west as well.

Let me get this straight: you put (at least half) the blame on Nintendo for not bringing over Dragon Quest since 2010 but not Square Enix? Then you equate Heroes coming over due to the fact that it's on a Sony console...?

Well blame not really, I know that it's not exactly Nintendos obligation to bring SE's game over to the west, but the thing is that if they wanted to then they could have done it, just like they are publishing Yokai Watch in NA, like I said, they just didn't bother to do it. So it's SE fault and Nintendo didn't care to do anything about it.
And yes I equate Heroes coming over due to it being on a PS system, according to Verendus it has already been decided that every single DQ game that is currently being made for PS (5 according to him) will come to the west, I find it kind of hard to not think that this has something to with the games being on PS or with Sony directly, when, again, SE hasn't bothered to bring a DQ game over in 5 years.

5 DQ games in development? Does that include the original DQH? Even then, I can still only count 4, DQH, DQH 2, DQ Builders and DQ XI. What am I missing?

Yes, he said it does include DQH, and he's already said that a DQ HD/Remake is coming to PS4, and he said it should be coming out before DQXI and he wasn't sure when they would announce it since DQXI is going to be announced real soon.
