SMH. This isn't an ideal solution. Just give us what PRO users will have.

How is this not ideal?   Most users DON'T even know how updates work.. So those people will get the auto updates.. Those who care can do this..  and WILL do this..   whats the problem?

Also.. the OP needs to fix original post.. as people are thinking the title is TRUE>. Which it is not...

This KB 3073930 tool for Windows 10 Insiders/beta-testers can only be used AFTER a problematic update has been downloaded and installed, ie not before.

http://www.infoworld.com/article/2951214/microsoft-windows/on-the-road-to-windows-10-problems-with-forced-updates-and-kb-3073930.html

The title is true.

Also, to those who are defending this with the sloppy tool MS is offering, What happened to the importance of making interacting with my PC easy and intuitive? What is this mess I have to go through ?

If there is an issue.. this will prevent it from installing again.. Again.. Power users will use this tool.. 90% of Windows users will have no NEED for it..  What is best for the majority is the way to go..    MOST problems for average users are because they do NOT update their systems EVER.    When I do work on people's computers..  they have 1000 updates going back YEARS sometimes..    and wonder why they have issues..  getting security updates etc is HUGE.

SO there IS A WAY to prevent the installing of updates.. yes you have to uninstall first.. but you CAN prevent it..  so the title is NOT 100% correct..
