Disc error =/= bricking consoles.

This. How a regular game disc (error) can brick a console is beyond me O_o You're PS3 may have been defective all along...or something REALLY is up. Either way, that sucks :(

Its not just my console. And its not an error with the game itself. I can play fine on my 20gb. I think the 60gb have an issue somewhere with the hardware. I am no hardware expert so I couldn't explain to you what it is, but theres always been an issue with Bluetooth headsets freezing PS3's. When you turn on a BT headset during the game the game will freeze up for a few seconds then respond. That is NOT normal.

I really believe something was wrong with the PS3 launch 60gb, and GTAIV pushed the PS3 to expose that weakness. Its not bricked like it wont turn on. Excuse my wording. Its "bricked" to me because every time I turn it on and try to do anything the whole console will freeze. It didnt happen before GTAIV. Im not the only person its happened to.

I think if you give this a few days youll see more and more reports of this if you look. The reason my console broke so early is because of me being stubborn. But GTAIV definitely was the cause IMO. The PS3 wasn't overheating, it wasn't even making that beeping sound when I reset the console.
