I will never play gta IV online again

So today I decided I would try out GTA IV online on my ps3.  So I go to load up the online portion of the game from the cellphone and then the game keeps loading and loading and loading.  Then finally after about 10 minutes I give up so my only option is to quit the game.  When I do and I go to restart GTA IV and then the game keeps loading and loading and loading.  I had to delete all of my saved files and the game install on my ps3 and start over.  I am so mad.  This really sucks.  I will never again play this game online, never.  Anybody else have this problem?
