Whereas the post you were responding to at least mirrored some of the points raised in the "bad things" video (i.e. inconsistent framerate; nonsensical story; some terrible graphics in places). |
Why are you looking at this black and white (i know monokuma... but still :P) ? If a frame drops 2 frames = automatically a bad game? Skyrim had FPS drops by the hundreads. Did anyone mention that?
Nonsensical story is just a criticism i reject. It does not infere with my enjoyment. Its a "modern" kind of criticism of young people who like to poke holes on everything and dont allow themselves to enjoy entertainment. Did you bring this up with Ninja Gaiden? Guy fighting with a sword against huge mythical beeings, a futuristic tokyo city and dinossaurs?
Yes, there are bad points and good points, but it doesnt mean that having bad points equals its unplayable, atrocious and impossible to enjoy. I am not saying its the next coming of christ, but its certainly not worth this relentless criticism to the first game of a new developer. This is actually quite remarkable given the way they were constrained and they lost their publisher half way through development.
What were you expecting? What were people expecting? That is what i dont understand. Maybe because its Itagaki and we got used to great Ninja Gaiden games with top graphics and Nintendo that this whole thing is blowing up. This game is exactly what was sensible to expect. This isnt something developed under Nintendo funding with an experienced team on the Wii U since the start. Its a smaller scale project of a smaller team. Its a great game when you take that into account. This isnt a triple A american multi-million dollar game.
