Artists are poor because they don't prioritize money. For them, it's art>money. If they happen to MAKE alot of money off their art? Great. But it's not the reason they get up in the morning.

As far as thinking they are better than everyone else, I'd like to see where you got those stats from lol


I don't need stats most my friends who chose to become artists have ended up either 1. changing careers 2. poor and barely scraping up complaining about it or 3. went on to do a teaching degree and become art teachers.

I used to do art myself then I saw the light and switched to a technical background before I got too old. At the end of the day you need money to support a family, not talking about becoming super rich, that is the reality. Perhaps in some countries were cost of living is so small you can get away with it.
