If you can fly with an 80% plus hit rate you have a massive advantage over people who don't do aerials.

A big issue I have with aerials is that I don't like ball cam, I end up orbiting the ball alot instead of hitting it because of perspective. Hitting it while flying? That's impressive. I'm never into games that much though to work out things like this. I'm here to have fun with my mates.

I'm switching to ball cam. It takes getting used to but it's really the best even for straight ground work.

do you guys only use 1 cam type for the whole game? I'm switching cams alot during a match based on what I need to pay attention to

The pros use ball cam pretty much all the time except when they are collecting boost and having to drive away from the ball to make sure they get that boost with maximum driving efficiency. At least that's what I've observed. The genius pro's probably don't even switch off ball cam for that. I've seen some very skilled people play with normal cam, but when it comes to clutch games ball cam gives you a level of precision with ball position knowledge that normal cam can bever provide, therefore in the tight contests the guy using ball cam will win most of the time.

I don't plan to ever get into serious competition with this game, but I can see ball cam is the best way to play the game if you can become competent at it. I may end up never developing the spatial orientation competency to use ball cam to a competent degree, which would mean switching back to normal cam. But I will never give myself the chance to become competent using ball cam unless I go all in with it. right now I can't even score 10 goals in a 1v1 match up vs rookie AI using ball cam, so I have a long way to go to regard myself as minimally competent with ball cam.
