I feel like the AI is a big stickler for a lot of people. Though one of the big things people like to point out is that the enemy doesn't notice your allies. That said, shouldn't we be glad that they didn't notice our allies? Wouldn't that have made the game absolutely insufferable? I would happily take a few amusingly immersion-breaking moments over absolute frustration.

There are many things in TLoU that are very effective at pulling you in: the story, the graphics, the acting, interacting with Ellie and the way she notices little things around her, the opening, ESPECIALLY the opening do very well to pull you in and engage you. The tragic thing is when the aforementioned is so good, it makes the bad AI stick out even more and it hurts immersion which the aforementioned elements work towards.
