i'm not sure you can really compare it directly to GTA...
on top of that I doubt the game has all its texturing and level design completed.... I agree with you it looks bare...
I'm kind of the same about the game play.. it could be sloppy controls especially since it's a multiplatform new IP etc....
but I think the conceptual gameplay and ideas are cool... if they end up do it right.. it could be a fun game... like a multiplat crackdown.... I wasn't interested by the game but those video tells me it's worth following to see what direction it will end up taking... either total flop (likely with that kind of game) or a really good game (i hope so).....
