Customs make it better IMO. I saw so many low tiers thinking "no way!" with the customs moves they had. It's pretty cool and not as unbalanced as it was expected.

I wouldn't go as far as saying customs made the tournament better but it wasn't as bad as I expected, still some matches were awful.
